MONTRE-MOI CE QUE TU VOIS DE L’AUTRE QUE JE NE VOIS PAS Exhibition project of photos and films celebrating the values shared by human being of different horizons. The exhibition suggests a representation of Montreal’s cultural diversity as it is expressed through the perspective of professional photographers and personalities. The view on this important aspect of Quebec’s social fabric is also intergenerational. Photographers : Yves Beaulieu, Olivier Hanigan, Marie-reine Mattera et Emmanuel Joly Personalities : Alexandre da Costa (musician), Tania Kontoyanni (actress and director), Jean-Guy Moreau (humoriste), Maria Mourani (députée d’Ahuntsic and criminologue) et Roger Sinha (choreographer and dancer).

JEWELLERY AND ARTISTIC MODERNITY: the beginning of art jewellery in Québec (1950-1970) This exhibition observes the beginning of art jewellery in Québec in the context of modernity from 1950 to 1970. Approaching the subject chronologically, this exhibition displays a jewellery selection illustrating the influence of the modernist movement in Quebec’s visual arts, through the affirmation of jewellery as a form of artistic expression. This exhibition presents the unique creations of Quebec jewellers Georges Delrue, Maurice Brault, George Brooks, Hans Gehrig, Walter Schluep and Georges Schwartz. Also, some historically significant modern paintings and sculptures from Quebec will be integrated to the exhibition, allowing the viewer the observe the aesthetic, formal and stylistic similarities with the different artistic trends which have influenced Quebec’s cultural landscape at the time. This exhibition is the subject of a publication.

BOGOLAN «avec la terre » The african artist Toumani Kouyaté will expose wonderful fabrics dyed with a traditional African technique, the Bogolan. This exhibition will be one of the stops of the exhibition circuit associated with Vues d’Afrique festival. Moreover, the Centre d’Impression et de Design Textile de Montréal and the Cirque du Soleil, partners of the project, will organize Bogolan workshop for beginners.
