Year 2010
Artist Judy Chicago whose Dinner Party in Montréal in 1982 did not go unnoticed makes a comeback with glass art. Mrs Chicago is a socially involved artist whose work always carries a message. One particular piece, "Rainbow Shabbat", is meant to participate in the healing of the world by representing a scene remindful of the interculturalism that we are attempting to live in Québec.

IT'S HOT! THE DAWN OF GLASS ART IN QUÉBEC
The exhibition will show the history of glass art in Québec from 1945 to1985. It will focus on the work conditions of the period including the people, the workshops and the productions at the source of institutions and glass artists in Québec.

CE FUT UN JOUR CHEZ NOUS
In collaboration with the Fédération d’Aide aux Victimes de séismes et de conflits (FAVIC) and the Institut de Recherche et de Formation en Communication et Gestion de la Diversité (IFCGD), the Museum presents from the four corners of the world, Iran, India, Congo, Haïti, Chile and France, ten artists to share art their experiences and their visions of the future.
