Visit

The Science of Craftmen tour explores the traditional trades and techniques related to craftsmanship. The visit begins with a film about a contemporary artisan. Then, the students discover the tools and objects highlighting the expertise of the various artisans such as carpenter, ceramist, blacksmith, and weaver. During the visit, the properties of the crafting materials are also presented while comparing their sound, colour, and resistance. To facilitate learning, students will manipulate several objects. The visit concludes with a creative workshop of your choice.
